Hello my loves,

February was been and gone in the blink of an eye, or at least it seems so. This month I got a bit behind with my first few drawings and then struggled to catch up for the rest of the month. I would ink two or three drawings and then sketch in the actual day's drawing each morning but I still didn't seem to catch up at all.

I practiced experimenting with composition and blocks of tone more this month. I definitely need more practice with using full blocks of colour but I really enjoyed how some of these pieces turned out.

I get the feeling that I was putting too much detail into some of these drawings and that they would have turned out far better if I had simplified them a bit more. Or maybe I didn't utilise the different ink pen thicknesses to create a greater contrast between foreground and background. I'm definitely going to pay more attention to this in future drawings.
